Verge Extensions Haircare Guide

Maintain the Luxe – Because Verge Deserves Value

Whether you’re rocking our Raw 1B bundles, 613 body wave, or a custom lace closure unit — proper maintenance ensures longevity, luster, and repeated slay!

💧 WASHING & CONDITIONING

1. Co-Wash Before Install:
Always co-wash bundles and wigs before installing. This refreshes the hair and removes any manufacturing residue. Use a sulfate-free moisturizing conditioner (like Shea Moisture or Aussie Moist).

2. Wash Every 2-3 Weeks:
Use lukewarm water and a gentle, hydrating shampoo. Follow up with a deep conditioner and let it sit for 15-30 minutes under a plastic cap to restore moisture.

3. Rinse Downward:
Always rinse hair downward to avoid tangling. Never pile the hair on top of itself while washing.

4. Pat, Don’t Rub:
Use a microfiber towel or old t-shirt to gently squeeze excess water — no rubbing or wringing!

💇🏽♀️ STYLING + HEAT CARE

5. Minimize Heat:
Always use a heat protectant spray when applying heat. Limit flat ironing and curling to 1–2x per week to preserve hair quality.

6. Avoid Heavy Oils:
Stick to lightweight serums or argan oil. Heavy oils weigh down the hair and cause buildup on lace and wefts.

7. Protect Your Curls:
For curly textures, apply a leave-in conditioner or curl cream, then finger-comb or use a wide-tooth comb. Never use a fine-tooth comb on curly or wavy hair.

🛌 NIGHTTIME CARE

8. Wrap or Tie It Down:
Use a silk or satin bonnet/scarf nightly. For wigs, place on a wig head or stand to help maintain the shape and reduce tangling.

9. Braid or Twist:
Loosely braid or twist hair before bed (especially for longer textures) to prevent matting and preserve curl patterns.

🧵 LACE & CLOSURE CARE

10. Be Gentle with Your Lace:
Avoid tugging or scratching closures/frontals. Excess friction causes balding. When removing glue or gel, use alcohol or lace adhesive remover and take your time.

11. Clean the Lace:
After every 2–3 wears, gently clean the lace with a Q-tip and alcohol to remove makeup or residue.

12. Re-tint if Needed:
If tint fades on your lace, you can reapply lace tint spray or foundation that matches your skin tone.
